Meet Amanda Joy
Certified Dog Trainer
Amanda has been a dog enthusiast since childhood. As young as ten, she immersed herself in reading dog behavior books and watching dog training videos. Coming from a musical and artistic family, you could say her love of dogs is unique to her. Fast forward many years later, Amanda moved from her home town of Nashville, Tn. and now lives in Los Angeles with her rescue dogs, Rockwell and Karloff.
Amanda has over ten years of personal pet care experience and is an Honors graduate of Animal Behavior College as a certified Dog Trainer. She is also certified as a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. She is a Junior Wrangler for film and tv and her dog, Rockwell, is a Certified Animal Actor.
After graduation, Amanda attended a hands-on mentorship for a training company in Nashville where she became one of the head trainers. She has attended a Cheri Lucas and Oregon Tails workshop, giving her incredible insight and knowledge from some of the top trainers in her field.
Amanda has learned how to teach both dogs and their humans in a compassionate and loving way and continues to grow her understanding of dog behavior each year.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys drawing, painting, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, and exploring popular spots in LA.
